وَصَلَتِ الصَّحَفِيَّةُ لَيْلَى إِلَى قَاعَةِ الْمُؤْتَمَرَاتِ قَبْلَ سَاعَةٍ مِنَ الْمَوْعِدِ الْمُحَدَّدِ. كَانَ الْمُؤْتَمَرُ الصَّحَفِيُّ الَّذِي سَيَعْقِدُهُ وَزِيرُ الْخَارِجِيَّةِ حَدَثًا مُهِمًّا يَتَرَقَّبُهُ الْجَمِيعُ.

Transliteration

waṣalati aṣ-ṣaḥafiyyatu Laylā ilā qāʿati al-muʾtamarāti qabla sāʿatin mina al-mawʿidi al-muḥaddadi. kāna al-muʾtamaru aṣ-ṣaḥafiyyu alladhī sa-yaʿqiduhu wazīru al-khārijiyyati ḥadathan muhimman yataraqqabuhu al-jamīʿu.

English translation

The journalist Layla arrived at the conference hall an hour before the scheduled time. The press conference that the Minister of Foreign Affairs would hold was an important event everyone anticipated.
